A Bedtime Story BY M. Night Syamalan

M.Night Syamalan is one of my favourite Director...not because he is a Indian but I really like the plot of his stories /movies. Syamalan is a comic freak so all his movies will have some comic elements...no doubts on it. He is a sentimental and suspense guy and all his films will have some suspense ,paranormal or extraordinary and human values. Eventhough technolgy improve very much in world film industries but this guy still stick to his style and hallmarks.

I hardly see a dramatic graphic or animation in MNS and Maniratnam film and this not because they don't have budget...perhaps hallmarks or style of this people and they have their own group of great fans and I am one of them.

Hallmarks of Shyamalan's films include final-act plot twists, depictions of ordinary people encountering and dealing with the paranormal or extraordinary, as well as cameo appearances by Shyamalan himself in each of the films (an homage to the director and master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock, whose style Shyamalan has emulated)and to be noted here Syamalan is great fan of Alfred Hitchcock. His movies are also noted for the sharp screenplays, their effective, often subtle musical scores from composer James Newton Howard and highly tense and suspenseful sequences. The movie The Sixth Sense, which tells about a boy's interaction with spirits, hardly used computer animation or a loud background score.

After "The Village" MNS next film will be "Lady In The Water" will be opening July 21st, 2006 worldwide. Heralded as Shyamalan's E.T., the film will star Paul Giamatti and Bryce Dallas Howard who also starred in The Village.

Let's Wait and See!

Cheers!
Balan Ji
